Out of the Pan!
These are some old photos of a farewell dinner for my colleague, Jianfei. As usual, the venue for our *sumptuous* dinner was left to me so I decided to check out Raffles Marketplace, the newly re-opened food basement of Raffles City Shopping Centre. The place was teeming with small shops (both featuring food and lifestyle products) and bigger restaurants such as Aerin's. Even with so many choices, we ended up at "Out of the Pan", famous for its fountain-side location and wrappes :) I've since gone back to try the healthy offerings at "MIX" and the mouth-watering Saigon baguette at "Baguette" (which is as close as the real thing in Vietnam)!
Out of the Pan offers a set meal consisting of drink, choices of salad and wrappes with various fillings which we ordered to share. The portions were filling enough but we still had the space for that final, tummy satisfying dessert...

Only Smitha and I were game enough to test the elasticity of our jeans, and we ordered the recommended waffles with berries, ice cream and another with hazelnut filling and mango! This has got to be the best waffle I've tasted in Singapore :D Crisp on the edges and waffle-y on the inside, we polished every scrape and smear of syrup off the plate. Yum.

Cho-co-late
Yes, it's been a while since I last blogged :D While shopping for Dad's birthday cake yesterday, I came across a Cold Storage sale of all snacks/candy big and small... and discovered a whole stash of Meiji chocolate! Meiji and Morinaga are the two major chocolate brands from Japan and I especially love their thin chocolate wafers and chocolate-strawberry concoctions.
Now I can't hide these two at home, so anyone from my office is most welcome to them :)
